Suzuki DR650 Wiki

The DR650 comes with "safety" switches on the clutch and side stand. Both can be a pain and prone to malfunction, which will completely disable the bike. The clutch switch is especially vulnerable in a crash and can cause all sorts of trouble.

The easiest way to do it is to remove the switch, either one, and chase the wire lead. The clutch switch goes into a pair of bullet connecters behind the headlight and as one is male and one is female just plug one into the other to short it out and it's all done.

Pretty much the same for the side stand switch, except that switch plugs into a special harness under the seat. Clip the wires from the switch and using a solderless butt connector, just connect the two wires together and call it good.

Very easy to do.
